Australian Navy Ship to Dock in Sihanoukville on Monday

Sihanoukville: For the first time since 2016, a Royal Australian Navy ship wil arrive in Cambodia on Monday. The frigate, HMAS Anzac, will be docking in Sihanoukville as part of a flagship regional engagement activity known as the Indo Pacific Endeavour 2021 (IPE21).

HMAS Anzac will also bring medical supplies to help combat the ongoing pandemic which will go to Sihanoukville hospitals and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

The embassy of Australia has stated that “The visit also provides an opportunity for us to build our practical naval cooperation and exchange ideas on women’s peace and security through a virtual seminar to be held during the visit. We thank Cambodia for facilitating this visit in the midst of ongoing COVID-19 logistical challenges.”
